Electronic Leak Detection
Electronic Leak Detection (ELD) is a non-destructive testing method that uses electrical currents to locate leaks in roofs.
It can be used to test nearly all types of roofs, including new and old, wet and dry, and can pinpoint leaks as small as screw holes.

-
How it works
ELD applies an electrical current to the roof's surface and detects leaks by looking for areas where the current bounces off moisture and returns.

-
What it can detect
ELD can detect discontinuities in waterproofing and roofing membranes, such as holes, breaches, and seam voids.

-
What it can test
ELD can be used to test sloped roofs, vertical walls, and flat or low-pitched roofs.

-
What it can produce
After testing, ELD produces a report that details the location of leaks and recommended remedial action
